Welcome

On a cold morning in August 2009 The Lone Postie embarked upon an epic journey to raise money for the children's ward at Nambour General Hospital. He travelled more than 7,300kms from Maroochydore to the northern most tip of the Australian continent, across to The Gulf of Carpentaria, and back.

Navigating through the crocodile infested wilderness of the Cape York Peninsula was a tough job at best, but to make things a little more interesting The Lone Postie completed his trip without fellow riders or support crew, and riding upon a little red 110cc Honda postie bike.

The Lone Postie started his Cape Crusade on 1 August 2009. On the twentyeighth day of his adventure he reached "The Tip". He made his way back down to Maroochydore, via a 1,300kms detour over to The Gulf of Carpentaria, to arrive back home around midnight on 30 September.
